Brunt Knott Farm Holiday Cottages

The Bothy sleeps four, one double room/one twin
A Bothy was where the unmarried male farm hands used to sleep. Things have improved since those days and this Bothy sleeps four in two separate bedrooms on the first floor. One has a double bed and the other twin beds(2ft 6in wide).

The ground floor consists of an open lounge/dining area with a fitted kitchen and an entrance hall with the shower room off. The lounge is fully furnished with two 2-seater settees and a rocking chair. The kitchen/dining area has everything you would need for a self catering break. (The local pubs do wonderful food and Wilf's Cafe in the village offers indulgent breakfasts, so you don't have to cook. Lucy's of Ambleside will even take your order and deliver great food to your door!

There is an entrance hall with the shower room off. On chillier evenings the wood burning stove in this cottage is a very popular addition to the oil fired central heating, in fact many guests don't wait for the chillier evenings!

Two bedrooms on the first floor nestle beneath the beams accessed by very easy stairs across the centre of the cottage. The view from the master bedroom makes for very pleasant long lie-ins.

Outside the front door is a barbeque and garden chairs for guests use as well as an additional supply of logs for the stove. The private garden is accessible through the french window from the lounge and faces South with spectacular views down the valley towards the county town of Kendal some 3 miles distant.
