The Byre
sleeps five, one double/one single & bunk beds
The Byre was the term for the building where the cattle were kept but they would have to have been very athletic animals as this Byre is on three floors and comfortably sleeps a family of five. The ground floor has an entrance hall, shower room and bedroom with a single bed and a set of bunk beds. The lounge/kitchen/dining area is on the first floor. There is a large attic style double bedroom on the second floor. This cottage has full oil fired central heating but no wood burning stove or open fire.
The lounge is tastefully furnished and the kitchen/dining area has everything you would need for a self catering break. (The local pubs do wonderful food and Wilf's Cafe in the village offers indulgent breakfasts, so you don't have to cook. Lucy's of Ambleside will even take your order and deliver great food to your door!)
